Fred E. Louia, 82, a resident of rural Altoona, Kansas, died Sunday, April 16, 2006, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born July 22, 1923 in Wichita, the son of Edmond and Clara (Valdois) Louia. He was a farmer all of his life and a retired school bus driver and Ruan Transportation and MKO Transit Company truck driver for many years. On April 1, 1944, he married Geneva Haines in Winfield, Kansas. She survives at their home. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Geneva, include, Three daughters, Sharon Pratt of Altoona, KS; Joyce Ayers of Altoona, KS; Kathy Louia of Burlington, KS; Two sisters, Velma Moore of Altoona, KS; Edna Farmer of Altoona, KS; One brother, Robert Louia of Altoona, KS; 11 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Darrell Louia and Jimmy Dean Louia; a great granddaughter, Alissa Pratt; and a sister, Pauline Winholz. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Raymond of the Verdigris Valley Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Tuesday, 2:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends at the funeral home, 6:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in his name with the Altoona Cemetery and may be sent to the funeral home.
