Esther Emogene Mcadam

Esther Emogene McAdam, 89, a longtime resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Meridian Nursing Home in Wichita, Kansas. She was born September 1, 1919 in Mound Valley, Kansas, the only child of Ova A. and Grace (Robbins) Pefley. She was a graduate of Fredonia High School. On July 21, 1938 in Fredonia, Kansas, she married Earl McAdam. He preceded her in death December 2, 1989. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Christian Church where she was active in various activities in the church. Esther"s survivors include: Two daughters: Earlene Patterson of Wichita, KS Sheryl Blevins of Jacksonville, FL Four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 26, 2008 at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Carl Thornton officiating. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Friday, 10:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the Avenue of Flags and may be sent to the funeral home.
