DORIS F. "DORSIE" HACKLEYDoris F. "Dorsie" Hackley, 90, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Labette County Medical Center in Parsons, Kansas.Doris F. Hackley was born September 2, 1925 in Rockwall, Texas the daughter of John Wesley Passons and Johnny T. (Lamb) Passons.She grew up and attended schools in Borger, Texas.On July 9, 1945 she was united in marriage to Thomas Glen Moore Sr. and they were later divorced. She was united in marriage to Lewis B. Hackley February 26, 1967 in Richardson, Texas and he preceded her in death December 11, 2007.Dorsie loved gardening, cooking and canning. She will be remembered for being a good listener, mother, grandmother and for being "fair."She lived in Borger, Grove, Oklahoma, Shamrock, Texas, Pampa, Texas and moved to Cherryvale in 1980. She owned and operated a drive in in Shamrock for six years and owned and operated a resort in Oklahoma.Dorsie was a member of the Eastern Star, ESA Sorority, Leader of Deacons (Moderator) and Cherryvale Presbyterian Church.Survivors include son, Gary Hackley and his wife Nancy of Independence, Kansas, daughters, Sharon Evans and her husband Pete of Fletcher, Oklahoma, Beverly Blakemore of LaPort, Texas, brothers, Billy Passons and his wife Jerry of Amarillo, Texas, Dennis Passons and his wife Beverly of Golden, Colorado, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 5 great great children and a host of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, son Thomas Glen Moore Jr., daughter, Dixie Janiece (Moore) Graves, 5 brothers, Leroy, Freddie, Kenneth, John Wesley Jr., and James Passons.Friends may sign the register book from 12Noon until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 East 4th, Cherryvale, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home.Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, October 26, 2015 at Cherryvale Presbyterian Church with John Chastain, officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Fairview Cemetery.Memorial remembrances are suggested to Cherryvale Presbyterian Church and they may be left or mailed to the funeral home.
