David C. Roseberry

Dave Roseberry, 87, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his home in Chanute, Kansas. David C. Roseberry was born May 20, 1923 at Holly, Colorado, the son of Lee and Maudie (Smith) Roseberry. In 1944, he was united in marriage to Mary Agnes Reed. Of this union, three daughters survive: Becky Neville, The Woodlands, Texas; Beth Ann Fulghum, Haysville, Kansas; and Heidi Flora, Parsons, Kansas. They were later divorced. On December 14, 1967, he married Sharon Berry in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives at their home. To this union, one son, David Roseberry, Humboldt, Kansas survives. He also leaves two sisters, Jean Robbins and Novella Anderson of Chanute, Kansas; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Darrel Roseberry and Art Roseberry; one sister, Evon Delaney; one step-son, Kenneth Berry; and one grandson, Greg Fulghum. As a young man, Dave was a rancher and a longtime employee of Fredonia Packing Company. After moving to Chanute, he retired from Chanute Manufacturing Company in 1985. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Weakley Cemetery near New Albany, Kansas. Visitation at Timmons Funeral Home will be Thursday, July 15, 2:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends 6:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. Memorials have been established in Dave"s name with Horizon Hospice c/o Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center. Words of condolence for the family may be left on this website.
