Darliene Laverne Morris, 90, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at her daughter"s home in New Albany. She was born January 3, 1915 in Fredonia, Kansas, the daughter of Gustav and Fanny Hannah (Ostrander) Koch. She received her bachelor of science degree in education and was a teacher and librarian for 40 years in Peru, Buffalo and Fredonia Public Schools. She was also a final inspector at Beech Aircraft during World War II. On October 23, 1949 at the First Christian Church in Fredonia, she married Alfred Lansden Morris. He preceded her in death October 6, 1996. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Fredonia; 1910 Club; Christian Women"s Fellowship; KNEA; and a 4-H Leader. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Mike Adams of New Albany. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2005 at the Timmons Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Steve Brodbeck and Jack Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Cemetery near New Albany. Friends may call at Timmons Funeral Home on Friday, 2:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Memorials have been established in her name with the First Christian Church and the Kansas Eye Bank and may be sent to the funeral home.
