Brooksie A. Henley, 91, a resident of rural Fredonia, Kansas, died Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the Golden Living Center in Neodesha, Kansas. She was born September 23,1915 in Middletown, Kansas, the daughter of James and Clara (Kerley) Spillman. She was a homemaker. On April 29, 1937 in Fredonia, she married Floyd Henley. He preceded her in death October 9, 2004. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Middletown and the Sunshine Circle Club. Her Survivors include: Two Sons & Daughters-In-Law Glenn & Carol Henley of Baldwin City, MD Eddie & Roma Henley of Fredonia, KS One Daughter & Son-In-Law Lela & Joe Black of Fredonia, KS One Sister JoLeah Burkle of Toronto, KS 11 Grandchildren 25 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Little Sandy Cemetery, north of Fredonia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in her name with the Coyville Community Center and may be sent to the funeral home.
