Brenda Kay Hull

Brenda K. Hull, 71, a resident of Altoona, Kansas, died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at her daughter"s home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born May 24, 1940 in Welch, Oklahoma, the daughter of Warren F. and Dica E. (Donaho) Hartsock. Brenda was a graduate and valedictorian of Welch High School. She earned an Associate"s Degree in Nursing from Labette Community College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in missions from K.U. Seminary. On February 25, 1958 in Miami, Oklahoma, Brenda was united in marriage to Luther "Ed" Hull. He preceded her in death September 18, 2004. Brenda worked as a registered nurse for more than 23 years in several area medical facilities. She was a very active member of the Church of God in Fredonia and her heart and energy were focused on missions work. She was selected to the Phi Theta Kappa Lambda Sorority. Brenda was a member of the Altoona Library Club and was an active volunteer with many organizations. Her survivors include: Two daughters: Kimi Hull of Tulsa, OK Tracy Hull of Greenwood, AR Five sons: Martin Hull of Coffeyville, KS Kevin Hull of Parsons, KS Jeffrey Hull of Altoona, KS Jason Hull of Altoona, KS Joel Hull of Altoona, KS Three sisters: Deloris Littlejohn of Miami, OK Jackie Morris of Miami, OK Sandra Scott of Greenville, IL One brother: Warren Hartsock of Palmetto Bel Aire, TX Twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, Ed, and brother, Stanley Hartsock preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Church of God in Fredonia with Pastor John Gray and Rev. Donald Speck officiating. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in Brenda"s name with the Church of God and donations can be sent to Timmons Funeral Home. Words of condolence for the family may be left on this website.
