Betty Jean Brown, 83, a resident of Fall River, Kansas, died Saturday, January 21, 2006 at Beverly Health & Rehab in Fredonia, Kansas. She was born November 18, 1922 in Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of Herman Paul and Pearl Margaret (Brooks) Lehrack. She attended school in Humboldt. On March 13, 1952 in Fredonia, she married Thomas Franklin Brown. He preceded her in death September 10, 1999. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fall River United Methodist Church; a 50 year plus member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Toronto; and the Junior Advance Club in Fall River. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, sewing, gardening and painting. Her Survivors include Two daughters, Charmaine Johnson of Lawrence, KS; Linda McCormack of Climax, KS; Two sons, Robert Paul Geib of Topeka, KS; Larry Brown of Augusta, KS; One sister, Judy Keith of Pierce City, MO; 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barbara Todd and one grandson, Steven Johnson. Graveside services will be held at 11:00A.M. on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Rev. Charlotte Coates of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, 9:00 A.M.-10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and may be sent to the funeral home.
