Barbara L. Miller

Barbara Lou Miller, 83, died Saturday, October 3, 2020 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. Barbara was born October 31, 1936 in Benedict, Kansas to Filbert High and Virginia (Stewart) Faulkner. She attended Benedict High School, graduating in 1954.

Barbara married Earl L. Miller June 30, 1954 in Benedict, Kansas. He survives at the home. Barbara was not just a farmer’s wife, she was a farmer, herself. She enjoyed gambling, gardening, dancing and golfing. She especially cherished her time with her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. She will be remembered for playing basketball, cheerleading, being active in sports and as an active member of the Benedict Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Earl, Barbara is survived by her children; Steve and wife, Jan Miller of Benedict, Kansas, Kathy and husband, Kenton Claiborne of Fredonia, Kansas; Grandchildren; Travis and wife, Robyn Miller of Benedict, Kansas, Kimberly and husband, Corey Thompson of Rogers Arkansas, Nathan and wife, Jaci Miller of Fredonia, Kansas, Keith Compton and wife, Audrey of Fredonia, Kansas, Kebra and husband, Ryan Panko of Toronto, Kansas, and Kyla and husband, Devin Baker of Fredonia, Kansas; Great-Grandchildren; Andrew Miller, Noah Miller, Seth Miller, Brody Thompson, Carter Thompson, Wyatt Thompson, Ali Miller, Kloe Miller, Leah Miller, Arcadia Compton, Caydence Compton, Ila Panko, Emma Panko, Sage Baker, a niece, nephew and numerous cousins.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley Rae Hartley.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Coyville, Kansas Cemetery with Mike Myers officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 510 N. 7th, Fredonia, Kansas 66726.

Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Association or Coyville Cemetery and may be sent to or left at the funeral home.
