Alice Perez

Alice (Hernandez) Perez 82, of Humboldt, Kansas, entered God’s kingdom on, Saturday, April 22, 2023. Alice passed away unexpectedly at Neosho Memorial Medical Center in Chanute, Kansas with her family by her side.

Alice was born to Espedito and Clautilda Hernandez in Parsons, Kansas on May 1, 1940.

She graduated high school in Parsons, Kansas, in 1959.

She was united in marriage to Enos S. Perez Jr., on September 30, 1961, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Parsons, Kansas. Alice enjoyed gardening, cooking, car shows with her husband, and listening to Mariachi music.

Alice had an uncanny ability to find pleasure in daily activities, and her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Her presence could change the energy of an entire room. Mary was a great wife, mother, and grandmother whose impact will be forever felt by her family and friends who loved her dearly.

She is survived by her husband Jr. of the home, her 3 sons: Philip A. Perez and fiancé Erin Gutierrez of Olathe, KS, Mario O. Perez and wife Deedra of Chanute, KS, Eric B. Perez of Humboldt, KS, one brother; Henry Hernandez, of Kansas City, KS., and her beloved grandchildren; Josh Perez, Makala Perez, Caleb Perez, Mikhail Perez, Macy Neely, Madison Perez, and Delaney Perez, and her great-grandchildren; Porter, Jackson, Rylan, Layla, and Rowen.

She is preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

Rosary will be recited Friday, April 28, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Humboldt, KS., at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Humboldt.
